Gen Gibler is a Mexican photographer specializing in performing arts and portraiture. Her background in dance and more than 30 years behind the camera have deeply shaped the way she observes the body, movement, and the passage of time.

Her current photographic practice focuses on documentary and long-term projects exploring memory loss, breast cancer, caregiving, and the ways illness transforms not only the individual, but also families and those who care for them.

A longstanding connection to dance remains central to her work. Through portraiture and performance photography, she has documented dancers, choreographers, teachers, and other figures who have shaped the dance community in northeastern Mexico.

As founder of Danza en Monterrey, she has also created an independent platform dedicated to promoting, documenting, and preserving dance in the region.
